Last week, the Wisconsin Supreme Court an appeal by Professor John McAdams in his lawsuit against Marquette University. McAdams was fired by Marquette for criticizing a graduate instructor on his personal blog. McAdams’ lawyers petitioned Wisconsin’s highest court to hear the case, bypassing the intermediate appellate court. ��ݮ��ƵAPP���� filed an amicus curiae brief in support of the petition.

Following the dismissal of McAdams’ case by the Milwaukee County Circuit Court, ��ݮ��ƵAPP���� hopes that the Wisconsin Supreme Court’s willingness to hear the case indicates its appreciation of the case’s importance to free expression and academic freedom on Wisconsin’s college and university campuses.
